The Hitcher!

Last night I went to the movies and seen The Hitcher. Wow it was so scary! haha. Because of that movie I will NEVER pick up a hitch hiker or give a stranger a ride. The guy in there was a total nut case! He killed like everyone. This movie even scared me so much that I went home and had a bad dream! But ya if you are looking for a good movie and if you are not scared of them, go see The Hitcher!

Silent

This is a poem created from the articles: "Thousands say farewell to Ford" and "Spanish woman is world's oldest mother"

The 67-year-old flag
Stood in a pool of light at the hospital
Thousands spoke
The people walked slowly
around their mothers
In 1976 Hillary Clinton had vitro fertilizatoin
Looking back o the cesarean section
She gave birth
Friday was the day
The incubators were silent

After going to Poets.org, a poet that I liked was Marilyn Nelson. She grew up in Cleveland Ohio in the 1940s. She got her B.A from University of California and went on to write poems. She published many books filled with poems. "Daughters, 1900." Is a poem that I read by her. I really like the poem because I understand what the theme is and I like the idea of her writing about five daughters.

Goodbye 2006, Hello 2007.

2006.. Wow between the sleepless nights, the fights, the laughs and the tears.. I could write so much about this year. To start off with, I can say 2006 was way better than 2005. In 2005 I faced two deaths in the family that hit me pretty hard, however in 2006, only my 14 year old dog passed away. That automatically makes 2006 alot better for me. Overall 2006 was a pretty good year, I had awesome times with my friends that I will never forget, I made an All-Star Cheerleading Team, Went to the ?BAHAMAS! , Falling in and out of love, Got a job at Tim Hortons, I got closer with my friends and family, created the Quadpod, PROM!, getting a car and a license. I also had bad times, such as a major heartbreak, a sprained ankle, lots of drama, horriable cheerleading season, alot of worries, losing a few friends. One thing I regret about 2006 is losing my best friendship with Nykie Eddy. We are still friends, but I hate the fact that we drifted apart, I've only hung out with her like one time since the summer! That is horriable! However, an awesome thing that has happened to me in 2006 was starting to date Tory<3. ahh, hes amazing. I have also became closer with Trevor Steves (We dont fight anymore!), John Andolsek, Tory Franco, Jimmy Vetter, and Mandee Smith. Hmm, what else happened in this year? I got accepted into Brockport, I guess thats a big thing since it kinda determines my future. I've had some times in 2006 that I will NEVER forget.

2007.. I can't belive I have finally reached my Graduation Year. It's so scary to think that in just a few months... I will be graduating. I think 2007 has potential to be the best year yet.. I have a few months to have fun with my highshool school friends, plenty of grad parties this summer, than off to college. I'm excited to see where my relationship with Tory goes, I have a feeling it won't be like the rest :]. I am very sad that I will leave all my friends for college but I know we will keep in touch and will always be friends. I'm nervous about leaving my family for college but I'm so excited at the same time. I'm excited about my trips in 2007, two florida trips and a trip to Europe. Europe is going to be amazing!I am going to florida to compete in a National Cheerleading Competition, that is a once in a lifetime opportnity! I'm very excited! I really think 2007 is going to be one awesome year!

Blind for 65 years, now 'new life and light'

http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20061210/1056507.asp

This article was very sad. It was about a blind woman that was blind her whole life, and had a surgery that could make her see. It's amazing what technology can do for people today.

"When he took the patch off, I opened up my eye," she remembered. "It was blurry, but I said, "Oh, my God.' I saw brightness. I had been living in this cloud for so long."

This was a quote from the article. This quote was the most inpsiring to me because it it demostrates how she felt after the surgery.I feel very bad for this woman, she had to deal with two of her children dying, her husband dying, and being blind. I have no idea how any one can live with being blind, than having to deal with the things she had to go through. After being so blind for so long, I'm very glad that she can see. I'm sure that the feeling that she got when she seen was an amazing feeling. When I die, I hope that I can donate my organs and help someone just like this person helped this lady.

Ahh I love Trevor!!

Friendship

One of the things I value most as a teenager is friendship. I'm not going to mention the name of my best friend. But she goes by the name of Courtney Mrowczynski! To me, she is the most wonderful person in the world. I've never had a friend that I could always be completely honest with and tell them exactly how I feel until Courtney came along. It means a lot to me to know that whatever happens, she'll always be there for me! We may fight more than the average friends but it's only because we're both so stubborn and care so much about eachother! Thank you Courtney for being my best friend! Love ya

This Quote was from Trevor Steves Blog...

Well, A couple weeks ago Trevor was begging me to read this blog. I just kept putting it off, thinking he wrote about something stupid, baseball or whatever the heck he likes. One day I was extremely bored and I got a text message from him saying that I need to read it. So I did. Let me tell you, he made my day. As everyone probably knows, Me and Trevor, well we're best friends but we never get along. As bas as that sounds. Our old supervisor at work use to tell me that we acted like we were married. For the longest time, I thought Trevor really did secrely hated me( he's been know to do that!! ) Until I read this blog.. Well unless this is just a big lie, but I hope not. lol. Anyways, This blog made me really happy that he would think about writing about me and he actually appercaites our freindship. And Trevor, you'll probably never read this, but if you do. I love you :] I rate this as a 10!!

Life in 4d

In the book, Slaughter House Five, the Tralfamadorian view the universe in a very different way. They view time as a stretch of rocky mountains. They don't belive in free will.

They also belive that everthing should be planned out. They think that they should know exactly what everybody should do.
In the novel, Billy wants to tell people what is the truth but it is to scared.

I think that the way of living is a major con, why would you want to know everything that is going to happen? Why would you want your life planned out? Thank god our life is not like that!

The Secret Letter from Iraq

I am writing a responce to http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1543658-1,00.html

This article is very much like the book Slaugher House Five. They are both telling their stories about war. They both want to to forget what happened in the war and don't like talking about it. I believe that the author captured the truth about war very well because it's his own personal letter and hes at war, so it kinda has to be the truth. It seems that the author of this and the guy in SlaugherHouse Five faced silimiar things and similar feelings.

The author of this seems to be anti war. I think that he hates it and just wants to forget about it.

Slaughter House Five..I think?

This is the book that we are currently reading in English class. The book is stright up weird ! I have no idea what is going on in the novel. All I know is that it's some what of a flashback of a war and that the guy has something to do with Aliens. It's confusing!! But reading is always better than writing essays! :)
